What is the sound of the end? How does one acoustically convey that something is over? Computers have had a shutdown sound; movies play a melody while rolling credits and even the end of human life has a sound attached to it, courtesy of Chopin. Heatherbrae, an excellent track from Thomas Gray & Liam Ebbs feels like it's a soundtrack to an end of some sort. Its deliberate and sparse pacing of someone who's no longer rushing, its "I-am-at-peace" synth chords as well as casual and relaxed drumming all seem to say: "It has been a lovely experience; I laughed and i cried, I've learned and I've grown but now it's over”.
